Ancora sulla Birmania, qualcosa di concreto

[This article in english]
Ah, bello. E i denari li mandano in quel paese? O piuttosto stanno solo facendo affari approfittando del momento?
E - comunque - che senso hanno queste bojate?
Siamo tutti santarelli.
Chiudete i vostri blog?
Dear Security Council, I feel so worried thinking about what is happening in Burma. I feel worried either because of what is happening on the streets (where people gets injuried and/or killed) or because of UN governement leaders talking about a worsening of actual penalities (especially economical) against the Junta: thus, any kind of economic operation will hurt just the very population and not the Junta at all.
The junta itself is acting in violation of many civil rights, and it's time to consider this much before considering that organism the governement.
I invite you, as the Council, to vote as soon as possible for a valid resolution of help, that is what is needed right now in Burma. Consider for example the idea to send peace forces in that country to keep control of the population, and act as a police service, against the corrupted and militarized service actually operating as the "long arm" of a dictatorial governement. I also think, as so many people in the world, that is time to give power back to Aung San Suu Kyi: she was democratically elected (and she was gave with Nobel Prize, for her job).

Fatelo. Fatelo oggi stesso.

Again on Burma, Something concrete
Many things were done about Burma facts, also protests and actions spacing from
incredible to ridicule, where marketing of pain gaves evidence, as every time, on human cynicism.
Some decided to close his blog, some else to spread Free Burma! Day or the famous red t-shirts support population. Oh, yes: pretty good symbolic substain.
Yesterday my mother told me: "On the fairy there are persons selling red scarfs to support birmanian monks". Bravo! Do they sell bucks there? Or - maybe - they're just having good businesses making the pain useful?
And - however - which sense had these bullsh%t?
We all are pretty-sainty. Sign the on-line petition, spread the new, frantumate (soccer) balls to everyone writing on a football-league-forum, because on-line there's something important.
What is important? Inform the Junta with an e-mail full of names and e-mail addresses? A message that is cancelled with just a mouse clic, and that won't be considered? Bravo: so the so little and fragmented news coming from Burma will be harder developed (and spred), in consideration of the fact that internet, there, has been castrated; and, tell me the truth: what has useful an injuried burmanian if you close your blog?
In a world of technology, do ya really think that what you do in front of the monitor of your computer, slipping the mouse around, may really change the world?
You must move your flaccid a%%, you must do something concreter.
This morning take the tenth you always use to pay your mid-day coffee, and go to a post office, take a pictured postcard of your city (or what you prefer, or a recycled postcard so ya'll not shred trees) and a stamp, then write a pinch of rows to Security Council of United Nations. And sign that rows.
Here's an example, to be envelop at "UN Security Council - New York NY 10017 USA":
Dear Security Council, I feel so worried thinking about what is happening in Burma. I feel worried either because of what is happening on the streets (where people gets injuried and/or killed) or because of UN governement leaders talking about a worsening of actual penalities (especially economical) against the Junta: thus, any kind of economic operation will hurt just the very population and not the Junta at all.

Do it. Do it right today. Stop selling unuseful e-mails, stop signing unuseful on-line petitions, stop believing that if you just let a website to be known, they'll stop beating people or arresting monks, and they'll stop killing people on the street. We all have to do something concrete. Maybe the Junta won't be interested knowing that something was sell, but the SC that has a useful "delete whole directory with e-mails and/or on-line petions" (look around what happened for Iraq, Afganistan, etc), cannot easily ignore packages and packages of paper. A million e-mails fits perfectly on a tiny-nicy-smally laptop, a million postcard is a truck with at least three tons of paper, three tons that hurts if them hit a foot, three tons high such as a mountain: they obfuscates the sun. Do it all together. Seriously. Stop saying "clic here, send e-mail there, change homepage straight up and close blog right down". Stop. There is a really big need of concretiveness, we need to show that world *really* cares about Burma, and want to show it with solid facts, not only with red shirts or petitions.
